# SubDodge 1.3.0

Subscription cancellation reminders for Android and Windows. English is the initial language; use EN/BG to switch. Your choice is saved locally.

## Start

1. Install SubDodge. On Android, install the supplied APK. On Windows, run the setup executable.
2. Open Settings, press Test in 3 seconds and allow notifications. Settings also offers a one-minute test: schedule it, close the window, and check your system notifications.
3. Add a subscription: name, amount, currency, billing period, start date, duration, advance days, and reminder time.
4. Check the reminder status. Android may use approximate alarms unless you allow precise alarms from Settings.

SubDodge reminds you to cancel. It does not cancel subscriptions or contact their providers.

## Costs and history

- Monthly estimates use the entered monthly price or one twelfth of an annual price. One-time prices are excluded.
- BGN, EUR, USD and GBP remain separate. No exchange rates or conversion are applied.
- Mark cancelled stops that record's reminders and moves it into History. It does not cancel the actual service.
- Renew keeps an activity entry and creates the next monthly or yearly period. If the old period has expired, the new period starts today.
- Delete moves a record into Trash. Use Undo or restore it later in Settings. Trash also offers Delete permanently and Empty trash. After confirmation, these remove the selected records from the local recovery copy too. Exported backups are unchanged.

Dismiss the Home backup reminder with ×. Your choice is saved; re-enable it in Settings. The home screen has one main Add button.

## Protect your data

Settings exports a JSON backup and imports backups from both versions 1.0 and 1.1. Import replaces the current records after confirmation. Trash and activity history are included. Keep a backup outside the app and outside its private Android storage.

The app also keeps the preceding local save for recovery. This is a convenience, not a replacement for an external backup. Uninstalling, clearing app/browser data, or device loss can remove local data. SubDodge periodically reminds you to export a copy.

## Reminder limits

Android owns native scheduled notifications after the app leaves the foreground. In approximate mode, delivery may be late. Precise-alarm permission, notifications, battery restrictions, manufacturer policies and Do Not Disturb can affect delivery. A force-stopped Android app cannot deliver alarms until reopened. Open the app after changing its permissions or time zone. Rebooting the entire phone and aggressive battery-saving modes were not part of the current device test.

Windows keeps running in the system tray when you close the window. Quit stops the process. Enable Start with Windows in Settings if desired. The PC must be running; missed active reminders are checked on startup and resume. Windows controls banners and sounds. The setup is not certificate-signed and may show an unknown-publisher warning.

A browser preview has no reliable background scheduler. Use the native app or export to a calendar. Check the imported calendar event: calendar apps can ignore imported alarm settings.

## Privacy

No account, cloud synchronization, analytics or external subscription access is implemented. Records stay on the device. Export/share actions send a file only to the destination you choose. Initial software downloads and installation are separate from the app's offline operation.

Android requires Android 7.0+ and a compatible, updated Android System WebView. Windows package: x64. Tested phone: ALI-NX1, Android API 35.

## Account email

An optional account email can be entered when adding or editing a subscription. It appears under the service and is retained through renewals and backups. Existing records work without it. This is a reference field: SubDodge does not send emails or access your mailbox.

Android system cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for app data. Use manual JSON exports to move your records. Local data, share-cache exports and JSON backups are not encrypted by SubDodge. Protect them with your device lock and keep copies private.
